Most of you know that I’m a serial coffee drinker and while caffeine from coffee doesn’t really bother me (caffeine from tea is a different story!), there are occasions when I indulge in one too many cups for the day. If i’m feeling those caffeine jitters, this cardmoe-rose scented almond milk is something I made. It’s calming and just so delightful, especially on a cold wintery night. The recipe couldn’t be simpler!

  1. Empty the seeds from approximately 6 cardamom pods into a mortar and pestle and grind to a fine powder.
  2. In a small pot, pour out 1 cup of almond milk. Add the ground cardamom seeds and a teaspoon of culinary-grade rose petals. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for about 2 minutes (or longer for a deeper rose flavor). Strain into your favorite mug and enjoy.

Serves 1.
